what this actually is

You don't need
a business. You
need an idea.

The Idea Fair is a free 4-week event for anyone sitting on a product idea, app concept, brand, invention, or small business they haven't built yet. No pitch deck required to start. No funding required to join.

Across four weeks you'll sharpen the concept, get real feedback from peers and pros, learn how to market and pitch it, and submit a final version for review β€” for a shot at real funding and hands-on support to help you build it.

1

Develop your idea into something clear and measurable

2

Get matched with peers and pros for honest feedback

3

Learn to market it, position it, and pitch it with confidence

4

Submit your final idea for a shot at the grant package

What the judges
look for

01

Clarity of the idea

Can people understand what it is, quickly?

02

Consumer demand

Does it solve a real problem or create real desire?

03

Market potential

Is there a clear audience and a path to revenue?

04

Execution plan

Is there a realistic next step to actually build it?

05

Pitch quality

Can it be communicated clearly and with confidence?

06

Creative potential

Room to become something visually or culturally compelling?

step one

Register your
spot.

Tell us what you're working on β€” even a messy, half-formed version. This just gets you on the list for Week 1 and locks in your spot for the grant review.

⏰ Registration closes July 31
final step

Submit your
final idea.

This is what the judges review β€” use the email you registered with so we can match it to your spot.

πŸ’‘ Include links to anything that relates to your idea β€” docs, decks, prototypes, mockups, social posts, a landing page, anything that shows your work. But hold off submitting until the idea is fully developed. Once it's in, it's final.

good to know

Questions, answered.

Do I need a finished business to join?

Nope. You need a strong idea and the willingness to sharpen it. Most people who join the Idea Fair start with something rough.

What kind of ideas count?

Products, apps, brands, services, inventions, or consumer-facing businesses β€” anything you'd want to see become real.

Is it free to enter?

Yes. Registering and participating in all four weeks is free.

What if I can't make every week?

Do what you can. X Spaces sessions are recorded, and links will be made available afterward so you can catch up on anything you miss.

How is the winner picked?

Final submissions are scored against six judging criteria β€” clarity, demand, market potential, execution plan, pitch quality, and creative potential.
